We are focused on developing applications that include all aspects of the movement of customs and excise goods into, from and through the EU customs territory.
The target users of our applications are companies ranging from great international companies to small companies with just a few employees. The business areas of those companies span from a trade, production, transportation, forwarding, customs clearance to courier services.
A long solution development in the area of customs clearance for the business community and providing our clients with support in business processes have helped shape us into an excellent connoisseur of regulations and practice.
Our successful mode of operation is based on two principles:
Our goal is to develop and deliver the best application in the category of similar products on the EU market.
After the Croatian accession to the EU, we intend to strengthen our presence in the region and place our product on the EU market.
We are intensively adapting Brix to enter the UK market for the new CDS customs system, which will replace the old CHIEF during 2020.
eCarinskiOtpremnik UI has been redesigned. We rebranded the product.
Brix is a Customs software platform for different countries.
We localized the NCTS and successfully marketed it to the Republic of Serbia.
Nova's experts held countless workshops and numerous presentations in order to educate and prepare users and other interested parties, in a quality manner and through practical computer work, for the complete change of all customs procedures. eCarinskiOtpremnik contains functions that are of great interest to all users.
At the same time and for the purpose of ICS, we established contact with users all over the EU and we performed the first implementation in Bulgaria.
The first eCustoms procedure was introduced in Croatia on 1 July. Our HelpDesk members assisted a forwarder at the border crossings in their first successful application of the NCTS declaration immediately after the system began to operate.
We installed the elements for the future eCustoms procedures into eCarinskiOtpremnik. We contacted customs administrations from all of the EU states in order to perform a test on eCarinskiOtpremnik modules in a timely manner. The NCTS tests were successfully performed with Great Britain’s Customs Administration two years prior to its application in the Republic in Croatia. We contacted the Swedish Customs Administration for the upcoming TARIC.
We opened an office in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in Zenica, in order to create a more direct contact point with clients from that area and to respond in a more adaptive manner to the specificities of the local market requirements.
eCarinskiOtpremnik was completed – an application with an architecture enabling the introduction of all new customs and business processes. Today, eCarinskiOtpremnik is the No. 1 software for customs clearance.
We adapted Car_Šped to ASYCUDA (Automated SYstem for CUstoms Data), a worldwide automated system for customs data processing introduced in BiH.
The whole team was enthusiastically working on adopting new agile development methods. We introduced UML, daily build, unit tests, as well as a whole new range of technologies.
The applications Sklad_D (customs warehouse) and Ovlast (authorised consignee/consignor) were launched on the market. After the Customs Tariff CD ROM, those were the first two Windows applications.
The Single Administrative Document was introduced to Croatia. Nova ICT organized educational seminars for customs agents.
As an addition to the printed version of the Customs Tariff, the first edition of the CD-ROM Customs Tariff Browser was introduced in the same year. Apart from the advanced possibilities of browsing and searching, the application enabled the calculation of customs fees, taxes and excise duties. Soon after being released onto the market, the Windows application had an upgrade – the introduction of a data update via the Internet.
The first Windows application for a customs bonded warehouse. The data was stored in the relational Watcom SQL database (today known as Sybase).
Car_Šped arrived at Bosnia and Herzegovina. For the following years, we held the leading position at the BiH market, which holds even today.
Nova published the first printed edition of the Customs Tariff manual. The manual saw 20 editions and became the first and most used aid in correct tariff classification of specific goods.
The first edition of the DOS programme Car_Šped was installed by a user. Over time, Car_Šped became the best tool for forwarding operations. Over 600 companies used Car_Šped.
