Update/Upgrade service

Polling


At regular time intervals (every hour), Brix polls Update & Upgrade service for any news. The service delivers the following:

  • new application versions,
  • current comodity codes with descriptions and additional measurement units, customs offices, etc.,
  • EU and national currency rates, lists of certificates, licences and documents,
  • code lists,
  • rules and conditions that comprise the application's business logics,
  • document validation/verification messages,
  • EU and national forms and templates for administrative documents.

 

Silent update


The operation of polling the server is performed in the background while the user is using the application. The user immediately receives information on any modifications that occur.

At any given moment, the user can access further information on the content of the downloaded modifications with one click.

 

 

 

 

Taric Data service


This service, an application, delivers data from the Taric database at the user's request. With minimal inquiry requests – commodity code and country of origin – the Taric service will return the following data:

  • measure types,
  • additional codes,
  • duty expressions,
  • conditions,
  • footnotes,
  • regulations and links to official sites,
  • quota order numbers.

The response includes all the data needed for calculating import fees.

The response contains all the codes of the required documents and certificates to be submitted.

 

Timely data compliance


The service is updated on a daily basis with the EU Taric database for tariff measures, as well as with the HR Taric data that is only applicable to Croatian users.

 

 

Taric Data service

Record of a potential customs debt


National NCTS regulations oblige the principal to keep records of a potential customs debt.

eGuarantee consists of the WEB application and WEB service whose main function is the central recording of the potential customs debt for each transit operation.


WEB service


Through the WEB service interface, Brix records the potential customs debt and removal. When goods ar released for transit, the automatic debit function is activated. After the completion of transit when write-off notification IE message is received, the automatic removal from the inventory is initiated.

Brix periodically updates the information on the bank guarantee status and during each debit, change or removal.

 

WEB application


The WEB application is intended for users that do not use Brix but still need to follow the status of the potential customs debt due to the nature of their work. The WEB application has the following functions:

    • the manual entry of potential customs debt and removal from inventory,
    • reporting,
    • data updates on application users.

    DaaS

    'Update & Upgrade service and Taric Data service are Cloud DaaS services. Data accuracy and updates received by the user though these services ensure compliance with regulation changes.

    (DaaS is the name of the application services used to deliver data at the user's request).

    Fast data transfer

    The Nova ICT company has developed its own software component of an optimized data transfer between the client and distant SQL servers, which increases data transfer up to ten times.

    When the application is started, entire data sets are loaded into the memory as well as  downloaded data from the on-line TARIC service for reuse during a work session. This results in a fast application speed due to the reduced need to read the hard disk or download data from a Cloud.
